PROJECT OVERVIEW

Project overview.

The brand had plenty to show: inspiring destinations, memorable activities and experiences worth travelling for. But there was a gap between attracting interested visitors and helping them take the next step.

Kivorun worked with FocalPoint to bring its marketing message, website content and booking journey closer together. The goal was straightforward: help more people who reached the booking page feel informed and ready to enquire.

THE CHALLENGE

Plenty of inspiration. Not enough direction.

FocalPoint’s website made its destinations look appealing, but visitors sometimes had to work too hard to understand the experiences on offer.

Important details were spread across different pages. The information people needed before making an enquiry — what an experience involved, who it suited and how to get started — wasn’t always presented at the right moment.

The booking page also asked visitors to make a decision without clearly connecting that decision to everything they had discovered earlier.

The challenge wasn’t simply to attract more traffic. It was to make better use of the interest FocalPoint was already generating.

OUR OBJECTIVE

Make the journey from discovering an experience to sending a booking enquiry more straightforward.

That meant helping visitors understand their options, find answers to practical questions and feel more confident about getting in touch.

Inspiration, supported by useful information.

OUR APPROACH

Connect the story to the next step.

We started by looking at how FocalPoint introduced its experiences and how that information carried through to the booking page.

We considered the questions a potential traveller might ask: What will I experience? Is it right for me? What’s included? How do I find out more?

From there, we developed a clearer content structure built around the decisions visitors needed to make, rather than simply adding more promotional messages.

Destination content would create interest. Experience pages would explain what made each option worthwhile. The booking page would give visitors a simple, reassuring way to enquire.

Every part of the journey needed to support the next.

WHAT WE DELIVERED

What we delivered.

01

Clearer experience messaging

We refined the way FocalPoint introduced its destinations and activities, making the descriptions more specific, useful and easy to understand. Instead of relying on attractive imagery alone, the content brought practical details and the value of each experience closer together.

02

A more connected content journey

We reorganised key content and calls to action so visitors could move naturally from browsing experiences to considering an enquiry. Relevant internal links, clearer headings and more descriptive page content helped connect inspiration with useful information.

03

A simpler booking-page experience

We reviewed the booking-page hierarchy, enquiry instructions and supporting copy. The updated structure made it easier to understand what would happen after submitting an enquiry, reduced unnecessary distractions and kept the next action clear.

CAMPAIGN & CONTENT DIRECTION

Make the next adventure feel within reach.

Our creative direction focused on combining the excitement of discovering somewhere new with the reassurance of knowing what to expect.

Experience-led brand content connecting destination inspiration with a clear next step.

Experience storytelling

Destination-led imagery, short descriptions and helpful experience details invite visitors to explore without overwhelming them with information.

Booking experience

A more focused enquiry journey gives travellers the information and confidence they need before contacting FocalPoint.

THE RESULTS

More visitors took the next step.

+32%

booking-page conversion rate · 12 weeks (relative)

During the 12-week measurement period, FocalPoint recorded a 32% relative increase in its booking-page conversion rate against the agreed pre-project baseline.

HOW THE RESULT WAS MEASURED

The measure compared completed booking enquiries with booking-page sessions, using the same conversion definition throughout the reporting period.

This is a relative conversion-rate improvement, not an increase of 32 percentage points, and it does not represent a claim about completed bookings or revenue.

The result showed that a greater proportion of people reaching the booking page were taking the intended next step.

What we learned

Strong travel marketing needs more than inspiring destinations.

People also need useful information, clear expectations and an easy way to act when they’re ready.

For FocalPoint, improving the connection between content and the enquiry experience made existing interest more valuable.

“

We worked directly with the team reviewing our website and booking pages. When feedback changed a priority, they explained the trade-offs and helped us agree what to update first.
